Board Meeting notice

The FOMCL board meeting date has been changed to Monday Sept 17th, at the Library.

Library Closures Aug 25 and Sep 1

The library will be closed again this Saturday 8/25, as well as, the following Saturday 9/1 in observance of Labor Day weekend.

Please consider volunteering a couple hours a month to help us stay open on the various days we have available. Just a 2 hour shift makes all the difference in our community!

Myrtle Creek Library needs Saturday volunteers able to work 2 or 4 hour shifts at least once a month. Applications available at the library.

Recycle your bottles & cans to benefit Friends of MC Library. No more standing in line to feed sticky cans into a machine! Just fill an Oregon Bottle Drop bag & drop it into the bin. Pick up your blue bag at the library

We are delighted to announce that:

Interlibrary loan between Douglas Community Library Association member libraries begins Wed July 11th.

This is big news and a huge step forward in the challenges our library system has been facing.

Library closed 1pm today due to volunteer shortage....apologies

Hours modified for week of July 4th

The library will be open short hours on Monday July 2nd, from 10am-1pm. 

We will be CLOSED Tuesday July 3 through Saturday July 7 for some needed rest and relaxation after our first year as a volunteer-operated library!

Storytime moved to Wednesdays 11am

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME:  Come hear a story read and be inspired to read and explore the library. This is a long-time program at MC library.
